I really liked Tim Ferriss’ book. It introduced me to four concepts I still use today:

- virtual assistants

I tend to think more and more in terms of outsourcing now.

- lifestyle design

What would your ideal life look like? Take the time to picture it in a detailed way. Make yourself excited about the possibilities of that ideal life. Now work on it every day.

It really helped me realized I was postponing things I could do now. An example is exercising. In my ideal life, I would exercise 1h every day, followed by 30 minutes of meditation. But I can do that now in my current life, I just need to wake up earlier and push myself out of bed. so even though I still don’t exercise everyday, I know it is not because the conditions are not ideal, it is just because I decide not to.

- market analysis

You can learn many things about the potential of a market and save a great deal of time before starting a new product by simply doing some clever market analysis.

- automation in business

I design almost every application with Automation in mind. How can I automate content creation? in-game contests? etc…

Amanda, what is the interest for them to do that? They lose their time, don’t they? Or is there some statistics on GetAFreelancer that rewards these behaviours? or punish the person who wrote the ad? (high number of people backing out)
